Zusammenfassung:[Display omitted] •Two new 2D coordination polymers based on Preyssler anions were successful synthesized.•The compound 1 displays the first 2D bilayer extended structure modified by Preyssler anions.•Both 1 and 2 possess solid-state photoluminescence (PL) properties. Two new organic–inorganic hybrids constructed from nano-sized Preyssler polyoxometalate and trivalent lanthanide cations, Na{K(H2O)6}{Eu4(H2O)12(Hina)8}{Na(H2O)P5W30O110}·14H2O (1), Na2[{Tb2(H2O)6(Hina)2}{Tb2(H2O)7(Hina)3}{Na(H2O)P5W30O110}]·15H2O (2) (Hina = isonicotinic acid), have been synthesized under hydrothermal strategy and characterized by powder X-ray diffractions, single crystal X-ray diffractions, IR spectra, elemental analysis, TG analyses, and UV/Vis spectra. Compound 1 represents an infrequent 2D bilayer network based on {P5W30} and {Eu4(ina)8} building block. Different from 1, compound 2 shows a 2D monolayer containing {P5W30}, {Tb2(ina)2} and {Tb4(ina)6} building blocks. It is noteworthy that compound 1 displays the first 2D bilayer extended structure modified by Preyssler anions. Furthermore, solid-state photoluminescence (PL) properties of these two compounds have been researched.
