Zusammenfassung: | In this study, temperature-sensitive microcapsules, Lemongrass oil (LemO)@diatomite (DE)@amino silicon oil (ASO)@polyethylene-polypropylene glycol (F127) (LemO@DEms), were effectively synthesized and characterized. Their microstructure, encapsulation efficiency, temperature-responsive release behavior, and toxicity against Reticulitermes flaviceps were thoroughly evaluated. The surface of LemO@DEms exhibited a porous morphology, achieving high encapsulation efficiency ranging from 60.64 % to 71.54 %. In vitro release analysis confirmed a sustained release profile of LemO from the microcapsules. Additionally, LemO@DEms maintained prolonged toxicity against R. flaviceps through a controlled release system responsive to temperature variations, highlighting its potential as a safe and natural insecticide alternative.
•A temperature-responsive system was developed for Lemongrass EO delivery.•LemO@DEms were prepared to reduce volatility and increase the stability of LemO.•LemO@DEms represent a potentially safe natural insecticide. |
