Zusammenfassung:In this paper, we present precisely measurement on the asymmetry in the large mode area (LMA) fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs). Three types of FBGs with different diameter were fabricated and studied. The difference between forward and reverse reflection spectrum in linearly chirped FBGs were measured. Based on the experiment and theory, this directionality of the chirped FBGs was explained. The experimental phenomenon coincides with the analysis. Our work provides a complete and accurate research upon the asymmetry in LMA chirped FBGs.
