Zusammenfassung: | In this paper, a novel hybrid sensor with filtering operation is proposed based on metal-insulator-metal plasmonic waveguides and one-dimensional photonic crystal topology. Photonic crystals are sandwiched between two metal layers and waveguides are used to transmit the light. The layers of the photonic crystals chosen with a different refractive index which are periodically repeated on a lattice constant. Our design creates more efficiency and energy coupling and results in a higher transmittance peak. Also, the transmission properties are sensitive to the geometrical design parameters. The structure acts as a filter with the narrow FHWM equal to 14 nm. Also, higher sensitivity can be obtained with a value of 1210 nm/RIU. Our work has the advantages of both plasmonic and photonic crystal structures. Better sensitivity, narrower bandwidth with a good transmission efficiency make this structure a good candidate for integrated circuits and optical devices. |
