Zusammenfassung: | Schiff bases are a class of flexible imine ligands that are both resourceful and promising. Their metal complexes are unique in a multitude of study domains due to their ease of manufacturing and wide range of uses. Chiral metal complexes are renowned for their use as catalysts in a host of organic reactions and also propelled diverse initiatives with regard to the formation of new synthetic agents that have various biological applications. This review aims to encompass different combinations of chiral amines with various salicylaldehyde derivatives that are used for synthesizing Schiff bases, their contributions in the domain of chiral transition metal complexes, their biological uses as well as their synthetic course plan in sulfoxidation reactions.
