Zusammenfassung: | This paper presents a study on thermal behaviour of GFRP sheets and concrete beams strengthened with anchored GFRP U-wraps. The temperatures ranged between 22 °C and 150 °C for GFRP sheets and between 22 °C and 60 °C for beams. GFRP sheets showed a sudden drop in its properties as the temperature approached the glass transition temperature, Tg, beyond which stable properties were recorded up to 150 °C. The GFRP wraps improved shear strength of the beams by up to 112 % under room conditions and up to 96 % under 60 °C. Available FRP shear design guidelines were evaluated, and recommendations were made for elevated temperatures. |
