Zusammenfassung:The pull-out test was carried out to investigate the strengthening effects of carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) on the bond behavior between corroded corner reinforcement and concrete. The factors, considered in this test, were concrete cover thickness, corrosion degree, and 0.5% initial corrosion degree. Bond behaviors that are discussed in this study include failure modes, bond stress-slip relationships, bond stiffness, and relative bond strength-corrosion degree relationships. The test results show that, bond stiffness first increases and then decreases with the increase of corrosion degree, and has a positive correlation with ultimate bond strength. Besides, the hoop confinement effect of CFRP sheets can improbe the bond strength and the critical corrosion degree to about 5%. In this study, for the first time, a comprehensive degeneration model for the ultimate bond strength will be proposed by introducing a parameter, called Kf, to consider the confinement effect of CFRP. By comparing to experimental data, it will be shown that the proposed model can calculate the ultimate bond strength more effectively than the existing linear model.
