Zusammenfassung:Herein, Sol-Gel method was employed to synthesize single phase Bismuth Iron Oxide (BFO) nanoparticles. The effect of calcinating temperature (400–700 °C) on crystallinity of nano-samples has been studied. The improvement in crystallinity is evident from growth of crystallites with an average size between 12 and 15 nm. Further, the microstructural analysis performed with Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) which reveals an average size of grains i.e. (17–32 nm), consistent to XRD data. In addition, the dielectric constant of prepared nanoparticles was determined which demonstrate a substantial effect of annealing temperature. The minimum value of dielectric constant was achieved at higher frequency. Moreover, the temperature and frequency dependent tangent loss, dielectric constant and bulk modulus have been studied. Based on these excellent results, we suggest that our prepared BFO nanoparticles possess potential applications in advanced magneto and ferroelectric devices. [Display omitted]
