Zusammenfassung: | Using the original numerical model, the operation of a low-temperature gas generator for a high-speed flying vehicle equipped with a ramjet engine is studied. The effect of the solid fuel characteristics on the operating conditions of gas generator is investigated for three types of fuels: polymethylmethacrylate, polyethylene and hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene. It is shown that the operating conditions of the gas generator are determined by the regression rate of the fuel. The decomposition of polymethylmethacrylate is the fastest, and decomposition of polyethylene is the slowest among the considered fuels. The shortest operating time of the gas generator is observed for polymethylmethacrylate, and the longest one for polyethylene. The maximal mass flux of gasification products is observed for polymethylmethacrylate, and the minimum for polyethylene. |
