Zusammenfassung:The essential oil (EO) of aerial of Teucrium luteum subsp. flavovirens (Batt.) Greuter & Burdet from Ksour Mountain (Northwestern Algeria) was obtained by hydrodistillation and analyzed by gas chromatography/flame ionization detector (GC/FID) and GC/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). In total, twenty-eight components were identified, representing 98.39% of the total oil containing t-Cadinol (16.33%), Caryophyllene oxide (13.23%); Eudesma-4(15),7-dien-1.β.-ol (7.64%), and β-Pinene (6.77%). Six samples of essential oil of T luteum subsp. flavovirens (TLF) collected from the same location exhibited similar chemical compositions showing a chemical homogeneity. TLF-EO showed the best antimicrobial activity, with minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values between 2 and 6 µL/mL. The lowest MIC values (2.0 µL/mL) were measured for Enterococcus faecalis and Pseudomonas aeruginosa .
