Zusammenfassung: | The world’s transportation system is now shifting from conventional to green system such as electric vehicles. The solar electric vehicle is the modern trend technology and enhance the reliability of transportation system. The battery electric vehicle suffers from limited drive range and longer charging duration. The solar cells used in this vehicle not only propel the vehicle but also recharge the onboard batteries. Moreover, the use of solar cells reduces the sizing of batteries hence, the weight and cost of the vehicle also reduced. In this research work the solar-battery hybrid energy source is used and controlled with a microcontroller. The proposed system increases the effective utilization of solar cells and reduces the battery power. Hence, the battery only provides electric power when the motor demand is greater than the solar panel capacity. This will reduce the demand for battery charging from the electric grid so that the energy generation capacity is also reduced. |
