Zusammenfassung:The (CoZn) 2 - Z hexaferrite [Ba 3 Co x Zn 2− x Fe 24 O 41 ] material is investigated with an aim of using with low temperature cofired ceramic (LTCC) substrate material for embedded devices. Here, we report the structural, magnetic, electrical and high frequency permeability properties of the Z -hexaferrite prepared by combustion synthesis of neutral precursor solution. The synthesized hexaferrite could be sintered at 900 °C with 2 wt% Bi 2 O 3 , which can act as a sintering aid. All sintered hexaferrite specimen exhibit close to 95% sintered density and bulk resistivity greater than 10 9 Ω-cm. Optimum magnetic properties were obtained for (Co 0.8 Zn 1.2 )- Z - and (Co 1.6 Zn 0.4 )- Z -hexaferrite material with permeability up to 7 and cut-off frequency of 1 GHz. The result indicates that the low-temperature-sintered (Co 0.8 Zn 1.2 )- Z - and (Co 1.6 Zn 0.4 )- Z -hexaferrite material is well suited for fabrication of integrated inductors in LTCC technology in the ultra high frequency range.
