Zusammenfassung: | This paper explores the interfacial bond response between near-surface mounted (NSM) Carbon fibre-reinforced polymers (CFRPs) and two types of concrete substrates: Normal weight concrete (NWC) and the Recycled Aggregates concrete (RAC). Twelve concrete prisms were tested to have the dimensions of 75 × 75 × 250 mm using the single-lap shear tests. The influence of concrete type, bond thickness and width of CFRP reinforcements were examined through experimental program of work. The test results revealed that the NSM-CFRP reinforcement can be effectively used in retrofitting of the recycled aggregates concrete. Nonetheless, it was evident that RAC exhibited a relatively lower bond resistance in comparison to NWC specimens. The test results revealed that there was virtually significant difference in response between RAC and NWC samples in terms of failure patterns and crack development processes. |
