Zusammenfassung: | The knowledge of the temperatures of materials above the melting point is of interest in the metal working industry, e.g., in welding to observe the weld pool formation. Therefore, procedures to determine the temperature also in the liquid phase are significant and necessary. In this paper, a spectroscopic method is presented to determine the surface temperature of liquid S235. A liquid metal-pool generated by a welding process was observed during its cool-down. The resulting temperature and emissivity distributions are presented. This procedure was also adapted to a controlled short arc process and the resulting data are shown. |
