Zusammenfassung: | The gas condensate storages in process industries due to their large volume are always exposed to fire and explosion. Also, in these facilities, some of the primary events may trigger sever secondary events, known as domino effect. That is, the occurrence of dominoes can lead to an increase in the severity and consequences of the first event. So, safety analysis is essential for preventing such potential scenario accidents and limiting its consequences on the personnel, society, and environment. In this study using the adapted bow-tie analysis technique, a method for considering the risk of domino effect in quantitative risk assessment of gas condensate storage tanks is presented. According to the results of the credible scenarios (leakage and catastrophic rupture), the individual risk has been higher than the standard and safe intervals between neighbors are not respected. As can be deduced from the results, the method presented in the research can provide a clear picture of the pathway of domino events and the impact of barriers and safety measures. |
