Zusammenfassung:The Drosophila curviceps species subgroup is upgraded to a species-group independent from the Drosophila immigrans species group to which it has belonged, but its subgeneric assignment is still undetermined, i.e., incertae sedis . A new species, Drosophila teresae Pradhan & Sati, sp. nov., collected from Darjeeling and Uttarakhand in the Himalaya region, India is described, and supplementary and revised description for Drosophila mukteshwarensis Joshi et al. (Entomon (India) 30:75–84, 2005 ) is provided.
