Zusammenfassung: | We report the case of a 57-year-old female patient referred to thoracic surgery department for a solitary pulmonary nodule with cystic like appearance increased in size 13 years after first detection. After multidisciplinary evaluation, surgical resection of the mass was indicated. The pathological diagnosis on surgical specimen was benign metastasizing leiomyoma (BML). Few case reports available in literature describe BML as a rare but possible clinical entity occurring in women with a history of uterine leiomyoma and incidental detection of pulmonary nodule. The peculiarity of our case is the cystic-like appearance of the mass and the increase in size after many years from first detection. |
