Homotopy types and Nielsen numbers of periodic homotopy idempotents on tori

In this paper, we determine the Nielsen numbers of periodic homotopy idempotents on the n -dimensional torus T n . In the special case n = 2, we classify the homotopy types of periodic homotopy idempotents on T 2 using an elementary number-theoretic discussion.
