ceramics with TiO
2
were investigated using x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS) and a vector network analyzer. With the addition of 17 mol% TiO
2
on Li
2
ZnTi
3
O
8
ceramics, the temperature coefficient of the resonant frequency (
τ
ƒ
) value could be adjusted to +3.3 ppm/°C. When a small amount of LAB glass was added to the Li
2
ZnTi
3
O
8
+ 17 mol% TiO
2
materials, the sintering temperature could be significantly lowered from 1160°C to 900°C. With increasing the LAB glass, the Q × f value first increased and then decreased. Typically, the 1 wt.% LAB glass-added Li
2
ZnTi
3
O
8
+ 17 mol% TiO
2
ceramics sintered at 900°C for 4 h had good microwave dielectric properties with ε
r
= 26.8, Q × f = 28,000 GHz and
τ
ƒ
= + 2.5 ppm/°C, which made it a promising ceramic for LTCC technology application. |
