Zusammenfassung:The catalytic activity of manganese ferrite MnFe 2 O 4 and the oxides MnO and Fe 2 O 3 in the steam reforming of ethanol (SRE) has been studied. The similarity of the catalytic activity of Fe 2 O 3 and MnFe 2 O 4 has been established which may indicate the predominant role of the iron ions in the formation of the catalytic activity of manganese ferrite. The complex oxide MnFe2O4 exceeds the simple oxides in selectivity to the desired product of SRE – hydrogen.
