Effect of the Composition and Characteristics of the Charge Materials on the Quality of Iron-Ore Pellets
Results are presented from a study of the formation of green pellets smaller than 5 mm. The pellets were made from Kursk Magnetic Anomaly iron-ore concentrate. It is established that the amount of fines that is formed is minimal when the concentrate has a moisture content of 9.85%, the binder (bento...

Zusammenfassung: | Results are presented from a study of the formation of green pellets smaller than 5 mm. The pellets were made from Kursk Magnetic Anomaly iron-ore concentrate. It is established that the amount of fines that is formed is minimal when the concentrate has a moisture content of 9.85%, the binder (bentonite) content of the charge is 0.6–0.65%, and 94% of the charge is composed of particles of concentrate finer than 0.045 mm. |
