Zusammenfassung: | The use of criticality classes to assess a cooling failure, also described in the guideline TRAS410, is shown. By assessing four temperatures, 5 different criticality classes can be defined. These temperatures contain the thermodynamic information required to define the behavior of a reaction mass during the beginning stage of a runaway and can be used to assess the probability of interrupting a starting runaway and to design of protection measures. |
