Zusammenfassung: | The industrial paintshop wastewater from an automotive industry which contained nitrogen organic compounds was investigated in the study. Chemical oxygen demand (COD) values and degradation processes were measured and characterized by HPLC and GC–MS analysis. It was also observed by HPLC method that organic compounds with a high content of organic nitrogen were successfully degraded by the mixture of enzymes. The COD removal efficiency achieved in the case of unpretreated water was approximately 48 %. However, the COD removal efficiency increased up to 76 % when a mixture of enzymes was used for the wastewater pretreatment.
