Zusammenfassung:Sulfide minerals in a gold concentrate can be efficiently oxidized by the electrochemically generated hypochlorite in the cell. (80% of iron oxidized with 70% current efficiency in six hours) When 1% (by weight) of concentrate was added to a 10% (by weight) NaCl solution, 80% of iron was leached with 70% current efficiency in six hours. Increasing pulp density increased the total amount of sulfide minerals oxidized and the current efficiency.
