Zusammenfassung:The aqueous extract of Rhododendron canadensis (L.) Torr. (Ericaceae) has strong biostatic properties, mainly observed on yeast and bacteria. The presence of hydroquinone in a concentration of 0.15% of the dry weight of the flowers is responsible for this action. This product is already known as a good bacteriocide, even against some pathogenic species.
