Zusammenfassung:The authors report on a solution to the problem of nonisothermal relaxation of the electric field in thick plane-parallel dielectric plates which had been exposed to a gamma-radiation pulse, when a large temperature gradient was present over the sample thickness after the irradiation had ended. In the case of the isothermal relaxation, an analytic solution was used to solve an approximating equation which describes the behavior of the electric relaxation field at large relaxation times; a simple method, useful for numerical determinations, was developed to calculate the distribution of the electric field in relaxation.
