Variability of the hydrogen and calcium emission in the spectrum of SU Aur

Monitoring spectral observations carried in the Crimea and at the Shemakha Astrophysical Observatory have revealed the following properties of the variability of the emission spectrum in the T Tau star SU Aur: The appearance of absorption in the longwave wing of H..alpha.., which indicates the falling of gas onto the star. A sharp increase in the emission in the line H..alpha.. on the night of the 11-12 October, 1982, accompanied by the expulsion of gas from the star. Variability of the calcium emission with a characteristic time of the order of one hour. There is a brief discussion of the nature of the variability.
