Zusammenfassung:This paper studies gauge models in which the fluctuations of the center of the group can be explicitly separated and their dynamics are identical to the dynamics of Z /sub n/ gauge models. The authors begin with the case of a theory with the SU(2) gauge group. The proposed model confirms the generally adopted picture of quark confinement, attributing the property to strong longwave fluctuations of the gauge field.
