Zusammenfassung:The authors studied the photochemical properties of indoline, which is an analog of 7-azaindolines, but does not contain the N atom in the six-membered ring. A figure shows absorption of indoline in hexane, fluorescence of indoline in 2-methylpentane, and the absorption spectrum of the short-lived aminyl radical from indoline in hexane after the exciting pulse. The quantum yields of photodissociation and fluorescence of a solution of indoline in heptane were determined for various wavelengths. The quantum yield of photodissociation increases with increasing excitation energy.
