Zusammenfassung: | An optimization algorithm for the construction of the graphite heating element of a resistive furnace for drawing optical fibers is examined and the results of a numerical experiment are presented. The algorithm consists of three primary blocks: (1) analysis of the heating element internal surface shape and determination of the optimal temperature mode for the fiber formation, (2) analysis of the heating element outer surface shape, and (3) optimization of the furnace construction. From the viewpoint of simplifying the fabrication technology of the element a conical internal surface shape with upper and lower internal screens was determined to be preferable. |
