Zusammenfassung: | One of the main characteristics of ionized air (IA) and aerosol is the polar spatial density of electric charge (PSDEC) expressed in coulombs per cubic meter. The authors discuss the reproducibility of PSDEC, IA, and aerosol in the specified mobility range with all other conditions being equal, by setting up and supporting the specified input parameters of the means of generation. IA with ion mobility in the range from 5 x 10/sup -5/ to 2 x 10/sup -4/ m/sup 2//(sec x V) is generated using a /sup 239/Pu radionuclide source for ionizing the preliminarily cleaned and dried air mixed with vapors of certain substances. The developed means provide the PSDEC unit reproduction in a limited range. |
