Zusammenfassung:This paper examines two types of neutron gauges developed by the Special Designs Office of the Chermetavtomatika Production Cooperative: the VNS-7205 for iron-ore concentrate on conveyers and the VNS-7206 for loaded blast-furnace coke, both of which are fitted with a standard microprocessor device. This microprocessor provides a universal device, whose logarithm can be adjusted by software. One writes a program appropriate to the measurement conditions and material, which is held in a read-only memory, which may for example be electrically burned in. The microprocessor completely automates the calibration. The economic effect from introducing the meter with microprocessor control is 40,000 rubles.
