Zusammenfassung:This paper uses a method of comparative calculation -- double comparison -for the quantitative evaluation of the themodynamic characteristics of zirconium disulfide. The method enables one to apply known characteristics of compounds of the given or an adjacent group to analogous compounds of elements. The enthalpy of zirconium disulfide was determined by a formula and the calculation was carried out on the basis of data on the enthalpy of hafnium, niobium, and tantalum disulfides measured by the mixing method in the temperature range 500-1800 K.
