Zusammenfassung:This work undertakes a clear demonstration of the convective limit. Flame extinction was studied in a rotating gas enclosed in a sealed cylindrical vessel of diameter 22.3 and height 2.5 cm. Flame propagation was recorded through the glass base of the vessel by the method of continuous scanning. Finds that the combustion and cooling of the rotating gas are associated with complex radial motion of the initial gas and the combustion products, leading, in turn, to a gradient of the velocity of gas rotation over the radius dw/dr. Suggests that flame extinction as a result of zone deformation is less probable than extinction due to zone cooling as a result of heat loss in the combustion products.
