Zusammenfassung: | The Kommunarsk Metallurgical Combine introduced a technology for producing high-basicity magnesian sinter containing 1.8-2.0% magnesia. Petrography showed that the sinters are characterized by calcium ferrite and dicalcium silicate crystallization. Chemical analysis of sinter disintegration products showed that sinter dust contained 20-30% iron oxide. An important result of sinter production was to increase the usable output and reduce the iron oxide content which made it possible to reduce fuel consumption and increase sinter content in blast-furnace slags without increasing raw dolomitized limestone consumption. |
