Zusammenfassung: | This article is a review of Russian efforts to create an inexpensive nickel-phosphorus coating stable to atmospheric corrosion with a price approaching that of a galvanic zinc coating. This was done in order to apply the coating to steel articles in an automated production line with high productivity. The tests of prospective coatings are described, and the highest resistance to corrosion under conditions of increased humidity was exhibited by a coating having a composition of (parent metal)-copper-two nickel-phosphorus layers-oxide layer-layer of polymer material. |
