Zusammenfassung:The results from feasibility study of intensifying mass transfer by collision merging of jets have provided a foundation for a combined solution of the basic problems in improvement of mass transfer equipment for processing gas-liquid and vapor-liquid systems. A number of original contact devices have been developed in which interfacial mass transfer takes place in unidirectional motion of the streams, with subsequent collision. Two contact devices with collision of rising flows are shown schematically. Various schemes are developed for assembling contact elements in stages of mass transfer vessels. Reconstruction of a stripping tower in an oil dewaxing unit by replacement of bubble cap trays with contact devices indicate the feasibility of using mass transfer devices with collision of streams.
