Zusammenfassung: | A mechanism to retard the decomposition of propane in propanepropylene mixtures is proposed. In order to test the proposed mechanism, the catalytic pyrolysis of ethane-propylene mixtures is investigated. From the data on catalytic pyrolysis presented it can be seen that the quantity of hydrogen does not decrease when propylene is introduced into the system. This indicates the difference in the retardation mechanisms in thermal and catalytic pyrolysis. These results support the proposed retardation mechanism. |
