Zusammenfassung:See adjacent abstract. Sulfide stress corrosion cracking (SSCC) resistance of welded pipeline by electrodes with content of sulphur from 0.002-0.028% (four materials) is described. Maximum corrosion resistance was detected at 0.002% sulfur. The tests have been carried out in the NACE TM-01-77 solution (saturated with H sub 2 S). The SSCC resistance was assessed by two different types of testing methods at constant load and slow strain rate (SSRT). Discrepancy observed between the these data and the static tensile ones demonstrates the incorrectness in use of the low velocities (10 exp --5 s exp --1 ) for the estimation of tendency to sulphide cracking.
