Zusammenfassung: | The formation of passivating coatings protecting structural materials against saturation with hydrogen is an important problem in practice. Oxides of metals represent one of the variants of these coatings. In attempting to optimize their properties, it is necessary to solve a number of problems: What is the mechanism of transfer of hydrogen through the oxide layer, which factors affect its rate, which properties of the oxide determine passivation on the surface? We shall attempt to answer these problems, examining the Ni-NiO modeling system. 7 refs., 3 figs. |
