Zusammenfassung:A new bi‐dimensional neutral coordination polymer of formula $^{2}_{\infty}\rm [Cu(HGLYCO)(HLACO)$ (HGLYCO− = glycolate, HLACO− = lactate) has been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, electronic and EPR spectroscopy, magnetic measurements, TG analysis and single crystal X‐ray diffractometry. Each CuII atom is six‐coordinated in a tetragonally distorted fashion by four oxygen atoms from carboxylate groups and two oxygen atoms of OH groups in a κ2O,O″:κO′ configuration. The α‐hydroxycarboxylate ligands are tridentate monoanionic systems and exhibit chelating and bridging behavior with the carboxylate groups adopting an anti‐anti mode.
