Synthesis of two indomethacin‐dimers with biological activity on heart failure

There are few studies for the preparation of dimers with biological activity. In this research, two indomethacin dimers were prepared from indomethacin and characterized by NMR spectroscopic methods. Then, biological activity produced by indomethacin dimers were evaluated on heart failure using a biological model. The results indicate that protocols used for synthesis of indomethacin dimers do not require special conditions to give a good yielding. Other data showed that indomethacin dimers decrease heart failure. In conclusion, indomethacin dimers would be good candidates for treating of heart failure.
