Zusammenfassung:Chromatographic separations of a methanol extract of Barringtonia acutangula leaves resulted in the isolation of four flavonoid glycosides. Using extensive NMR spectroscopic analysis as well as comparison with the reported data, their structures were elucidated as quercetin 3‐O‐β‐D‐(6‐p‐hydroxybenzoyl)galactopyranoside (1), quercetin 3‐O‐α‐L‐arabinopyranosyl‐(1→2)‐β‐D‐galactopyranoside (2), kaempferol 3‐O‐β‐D‐galactopyranoside (3), and quercetin‐3‐O‐β‐D‐galactopyranoside (4).
