Zusammenfassung:ABSTRACT Case Case 1: A 62‐year‐old man had dysphagia due to esophageal obstruction from lung cancer. His dysphagia was relieved after rikakuto‐go‐kanzokankyoto (RK) treatment. Case 2: A 59‐year‐old man had dysphagia from esophageal cancer that almost completely obstructed the esophagus. After RK treatment, he was able to eat food again. Case 3: An 80‐year‐old woman with multiple myeloma suffered radiation esophagitis due to radiation therapy to her metastasized thoracic vertebra. With RK treatment, she was able to eat food again. Conclusion The quality of life was improved in each case. RK seems to have potential beneficial effects for various esophageal diseases in terminally ill patients.
