Zusammenfassung:The effect of hydrocortisone on the development of the palatal processes of a resistant (CBA) and a susceptible (A) mouse strain was tested in vitro. In both strains hydrocortisone caused retardation of the fusion process, but never prevented it (as in vivo in the susceptible strain). It is concluded that the results lend further support to Fraser's hypothesis.
