On the Differentiation and Systematics of Starch Granules. The possibilities of differentiation and systematization of starch granules by using microscopical methods have been reported. It was shown that their shape and size as well as their physico‐chemical properties, i. e. swelling range and appearance in polarized light, could serve as characteristics for definite plant families or sorts respectively. A corresponding proposal for differentiation and systematization is presented and discussed.
