Critical Features of the Morgan Assay of Hydroxyethyl and Hydroxypropyl Substituents in Polysaccharides

The conditions for obtaining an accurate and reproducible assay of hydroxyethyl and hydroxypropyl substituents in the corresponding polysaccharide derivatives are described. Suitable compounds for standardising the procedure are described.
