Zusammenfassung: | The frontispiece shows an electron micrograph of a gold‐coated nanosieve. Nanosieves are perforated membranes with a thickness of only ≈ 1 nm. They are fabricated by extreme UV interference lithography from aromatic self‐assembled monolayers on solid substrates. Afterwards the patterned monolayer can be released from the substrate and transferred to transmission electron microscopy grids as freestanding nanosieves. The size of the holes and the chemical functionality of the nanosieves can be flexibly tuned.
