Zusammenfassung: | The frontispiece image shows the motility of naïve human T‐cells, studied on novel biochips patterned with micrometer‐wide tracks of a prominent lymph‐node chemokine (green). Cell migration is confined in one dimension along the tracks, as demonstrated for a single T‐cell (red). The trail behind the cell corresponds to the progression of the leading edge and retraction at the rear during cell locomotion. T‐cell locomotion along chemokine‐decorated stromal “highways” takes place along networks of stromal cells inside lymph nodes, giving rise to an efficient scanning mode of antigens, which are presented by dendritic cells attached to the highways.
