Cover Picture: A Pivotal Biaryl Rotamer Bearing Two Floppy Pyrenes that Exhibits Cryptochiral Characteristics in the Ground State (35/2018)

The cover picture shows a new cryptochiral system. Newly designed and synthesised axially chiral pyrene‐based luminophore exhibits cryptochiral circularly polarised luminescence (CPL). By controlling chirality through the use of light, the CPL properties of the luminophore can be exhibited, from very weak circular dichroism (CD) in the ground state, to strong CPL in the photoexcited state.
